Beyond Black – Pierre Soulages

A few months back I was commissioned by Monopol Magazin to shoot a portrait serie of Pierre Soulages and his wife Colette. I spent an incredible afternoon in their home in Sète, South of France. What an amazing experience it was to meet such an great artist. He spoke passionately about his work, his career, what it is to be an artist, to almost be 100 and his love for the color black.
